A live-action/CGI hybrid family comedy about E.B., the teenage son of the Easter Bunny, who runs away to Hollywood to pursue his dream of becoming a drummer in a rock band.

Detailed Story

E.B. does not want to inherit the family business of being the Easter Bunny. He escapes Easter Island and travels to Los Angeles, where he is accidentally hit by a car driven by Fred O'Hare, an unemployed slacker. Fred reluctantly agrees to shelter E.B., who can talk. Together, they must save Easter from a coup led by Carlos the Chick, while helping each other find their true callings.

Samantha O'Hare is Fred's supportive but frustrated younger sister. She tries to help Fred get his life together by setting up a job interview for him at a major estate and acting as the voice of reason when Fred starts claiming he is hanging out with a talking, drumming rabbit.

Directed by Tim Hill and produced by Illumination Entertainment (creators of Despicable Me), the film blends live-action footage with state-of-the-art computer animation. It stars James Marsden alongside the voice of Russell Brand.

The film received mixed reviews from critics who found the plot predictable, but was highly successful commercially and remains popular among younger audiences during the Easter season.
